Saturday, March 1st at St Peter’s Church, Bayhall Road TW – We are delighted to be putting on a singing technique workshop on the afternoon of Saturday 1st March. The workshop will run from 2-5.30pm with a short tea break and will take place at St Peter’s Church on Bayhall Road. We are happy to let you know that we are offering this free of charge to you as choir members, and hope that as many as possible of you will be able to participate.
The focus of the workshop will be on singing technique (particularly in the context of choral singing) rather than concentrating on a particular piece of music. The aim is to improve our sound, both individually and as a collective. We will be using one of the pieces that we are learning for the Easter concert so you’ll already be familiar with it and, more importantly, will have a copy of the score!
Saturday, September 27th at the Mote, Maidstone – while we appreciate this is a little further out on the horizon, we have been invited to participate in a “Choral Celebrations” event with a number of other Kent choirs. With an expected three hundred singers taking part, not only will it be an exciting opportunity to sing with such a large group it will also be an opportunity to showcase our own choir. More details to follow but in the meantime please do put a “save the date” in your calendar. Should be a grand day out!
The rehearsal schedule covers spring and summer concerts in 2025. Any changes of time or place of rehearsal are listed when announced. Where available, notes of work done at previous rehearsals are also added.
A summary of the Wiesbaden trip is available in the Concert archive, with links to some photos of the occasion in the Gallery.
